Ingredients
- 1 pouch (17.5 oz) Betty Crocker™ Chocolate Chip Cookie Mix
- Butter and egg called for on cookie mix pouch
- Decorations, as desired
- Betty Crocker™ Rich & Creamy Vanilla Frosting
- Red gel food color from 1 box Betty Crocker™ Classic Gel Food Color
- Betty Crocker™ Black Cookie Icing
- Betty Crocker™ White Cookie Icing
- Betty Crocker™ White Shimmer Sugar
- Multicolor Candy-Coated Sprinkles
- Miniature milk chocolate-covered peanut butter cup candies, unwrapped and cut in half
Instructions
Bring a little Peanuts™ charm to your holiday cookie tray with these easy and festive cookie ornaments! Starting with classic chocolate chip cookie dough, these adorable treats easily come to life with frosting and candies!
- Heat oven to 375°F. In medium bowl, stir cookie mix, butter and egg until soft dough forms. Shape dough into 12 (2 1/4-inch) balls. Place 2 1/2- inches apart on ungreased cookie sheets; flatten slightly.
- Bake 17 to 19 minutes or until edges are light golden brown. Cool 1 minute. Remove from cookie sheet to cooling racks. Cool completely, about 30 minutes.
- Mix frosting with red food color to make red frosting. Using the photo as a guide, decorate cookies. Frost cookie tops with red frosting. Decorate with white icing for snow, sprinkle with white shimmer sugar. Draw lines with black icing. Add sprinkles for string lights and peanut butter cup half for ornament top. Let stand until set, about 1 hour. Store in airtight container.
